For me personally...my hometown...where I grew up...where I first learned about God.

I have great memories, of some really good and Godly people, whom I am very greatful for having had in my life.

It is nice to go home.

There are several sacred places for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:

1. The Temple. We have over 120 temples across the globe. These buildings are dedicated as the House of the Lord. Inside you forget all your worldly cares.

2. The Sacred Grove. It was within these trees in upstate New York where Joseph Smith Jr had his First Vision.

3. The Hill Cummorah, in New York state, where Joseph obtained the Golden Plates from which he translated the Book of Mormon.

4. Nauvoo, Illinois. The City of Joseph.

5. Salt Lake City, Utah.

Christ did not come to replace one from of temple worship (Judaism) with another form of temple worship (Organized Christian religions), Christ came to set his temple up in the hearts of individuals. The Christianity of the Bible is in a very real sense more about a relationship than a religion. You have the scriptures as a guide, but you work out your own salvation with Christ and the Scriptures. You certainly have the liberty to go to a church or join a religion, and there is a lot to be said for associating with and fellowshipping with others of similar beliefs. Some people thrive having that additional support and encouragement and I do not begrudge anybody who does join a church or religion. But at the end of the day, whether you are part of a religion or you worship alone, you are the one who has to work out your own salvation and your own relationship with Christ, and you will be standing alone at the judgment seat giving an account of yourself, not anybody else.

Checking in as a non-denominational bible believing Christian. Though I would love to visit Israel, I believe what is written: My body is the Temple of the Living God and Jesus dwells in my heart, and I am sealed by the Holy Spirit. My place is where ever God leads and though there are places I would love to visit, no icons have any appeal to me and I will call my home town the place that my Father wants me to harvest, as the Fields are Ripe! Have a blessed day.

Hmmmm. Well Im not a Christian but I'll take a guess at it. I'd say Bethlehem since that's where their guy was born.

Or they will probably say Jerusalem, even though a human virgin blood sacrifice for sin wouldn't go over too well there, they still think they are entitled to the place.

For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
Hebrews 11:10

Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God (the heavenly Jerusalem), to myriads of angels in festive gathering,
Hebrews 12:22

For here we do not have an enduring city; instead, we seek the one to come.

There is no single most important spiritual city. Christ's bodily presence can be found wherever Holy Communion is served, and that could theoretically be just about anywhere. God comes to us in our own communities, rather than favoring one place and one people over another.

For those of us in the church of Christ, the most important spiritual place is Heaven.

If I were forced to pick a city, it would be Antioch, where the disciples were first called Christians around 33 AD.

The church of Christ has no central "headquarters".

I don't really have a 'city' I can claim, but I think the most important spiritual place is inside me (my soul or heart or stomach I cannot tell:D) cause Jesus lives in there.
