I said that they are all dead and that is why they are fascinated with death. He says they are not dead, just really weird and that they are just lucky when it comes to "death".

Please help me find out the truth(hopefully in my favor :)
Thanks!!!

They were all alive. Sorry, your husband is correct

Well, you're both right and wrong. Because these characters are parodies of the old monsters of the 30's movies (which were in fact, closer to when the series was aired - then the time between 2007 and when the series was first aired!).

The butler was a frankenstein-guy, and thus wasn't actually born. Grandpa's a vampire, which means he's not really alive or dead. Morticia means "dead" in latin more or less, and she was fairly pale - I'd say she was undead. Little Eddie was an everyday werewolf, which kind of breaks that stereotype, doesn't it?

Now, you both must realize that this is not only fiction.. not only just TV characters... but 45 yr old TV characters. So move, on... and if you have to argue about something on TV - ask each other how Joe Torre can make $6mil a year, to mismanage the NY Yankees.

The Adams family is wierd but there is NOTHING to suggest that they are dead. How could they be dead? Are they ghosts or something? Like casper? If they are ghosts, why do they bother opening doors? You are a little off base here - your husband is correct.

He is right - they're all alive (or at least the main characters
are all alive).

Otherwise, you can bet we would occasionally be regaled
with stories of HOW they died, wouldn't you think?

I'm not going to claim I say EVERY Adam's Family (and
I don't think I'd admit to it if I had) ... but I never saw anything
other than stage makeup to indicate that any of them had
actually been dead.

I'm not sure there is any evidence to suggest they are dead! But hey, it is an interesting theory, and TV shows certainly are open to interpretation.

I think you guys should just call it a draw. You both see something different in the show, and that's just fine!

They are not dead, just really weird. And Grampa the vampire is on the Munsters, not Adams Family.

No not dead just very quirky neighbors who are into the not entirely normal.

I always wanted a plant like Morticia's Cleopatra, but my dad would just shudder and say NO!

They're dead, if you watch the first movie when Mortisha & her husband are in the graveyard they talk about when they first met...watch it & you'll know, but then again dead things don't just walk around so I guess they're neither living nor dead, they're undead. Other than that scene it never really says

Your husband is right. They are NOT dead, but they are strange! The "Addam's Family" is actually a pun - it means "Adam's Family", in other words, all of mankind!

They have dead relatives and in a few cartoons they had pre-ordered their headstones for the future, so I suppose they would not be dead. Sorry...
