Little boys need to stay out of the church basement!

Ha! Ha! Good one. Rigorous scientific tests being done in a church would never happen. To put “scientific test” and “church” in the same sentence is an oxymoron. Church’s by definition don’t test their belief systems, or belief systems of competing schools of thought. They merely assert that something is true, as if that were proof in and of itself.

The religious institutions have done nothing to disprove evolution other than resort to conjecture and vilification of evolution. Now if you mean this jokingly, the only way they can disprove evolution is by offering up some of their fellow church goers, and state on the basis of their intellectual life, that humanity is devolving not evolving.

There is no room into any rational brain for anti-evolutionist theories, as a matter of fact, many religions, including the catholic have had along centuries a bunch of scientists analyzing the evolution like a God's work. I believe in God, but also what have been happening along millions of millions of years in the Universe through a meticulous work .
Evolution exists. and if we were better observers, even in the shortness of our lives we could realize of its existence .
The rigorous scientific test done in religious basements only have served to confirm that evolution is an irrevocable fact, the opposed is fanaticism, and that blocks the rationality.

I feel that perhaps they have disproved it, and especially they must have proved by now that Satan cooked up a lot of fake fossils.

But the church people were not fooled. They have persevered, I just didn't know there were doing it in basements.

You're sure they were doing it in basements? It was rigorous?

Okay good.

Scientific tests in the church basements, ok. I wondered where all that money went 'cause they sure aren't doing a whole hell of a lot for the poor people on the world.

Hey, I like "The Church Lady". I'm sure she'll tell us about those rigorous tests when she's certain they've been properly verified. Remember the Pons & Fleischmann fiasco. It's really important to be certain of your facts in the presence of a gang of ruthless evolutionists like us.

instead of trying to disprove evolution, why aren't they trying to prove creationism? (probably because they can't) creationism is not a proven theory backed by hard evidence. it's a belief based on an ancient story book.

it's also ironic that those who are trying to disprove a scientific theory with science also oppose science. this is a perfect example of how religion and religious people contradict themselves.

evolution is subjectable to experiment, and although so far no one has found a way to disprove it, potentially it could happen. Since creationisam is based on faith it is not subjectable to experiment, so cannot be disproved to a believers satisfaction, and is therefore not a verifiable fact.

What, all those I've read of in "Nature", "New Scientist" and other peer-review publications?

Never mind, if it's on the www that's quality assurance enough.

"Nobody would put anything that isn't true on the INTERNET!"
(That, I assure you, is a genuine quote from a teenager who utterly believed in... the internet. And the when he said "internet" you could almost hear harp music. A frightening encounter.)

No such test disproves evolution, nor is it possible that any ever will: evolution is a proven fact, and anything purporting to show that evolution is wrong is thus necessarily erroneous.
