Cat's remember by smell so she may be wary of you to begin with but once she smells you she'll recognise the smell, don't worry, I went to Sweden for two weeks to stay with my boyfriend and both my cats knew who I was the second I came home, I also spend a lot of time in hospital and again, there's never a problem with how long I've been away, they always remember and know who I am...they even recognise my car as I pull up so I'm sure she'll know who you are.

Of course she will recognise you. Cats and humans are built much in the same way and share many senses - sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch as well as having additional senses which are adaptations to our environment and lifestyles. Her lifestyle means everything to her. I know I have four cats and we go away on holiday several times a year. Yes when we arrive back home, they sulk for a day or two, but soon get back to normal.
Cats have a memory that can be up to 200 times more retentive than a dog. Your cat uses its memory only for what she regards as useful functions, that is her every day life. Cat are creatures of habit and if they have a loving home they never forget.

I used to live with my parents and we had a cat that was about 10 years old when I left. I moved to another area and only return to my parents house every couple of months. But the cat comes running every time I return and he hears my voice and he won't leave me alone for the whole time I'm there. It's obvious he remembers me and I'm sure yours will too

I just moved into another home and during the transition period waiting for the house to be ready we had to stay in a hotel. I had to board my cats. I was so terrified my baby wasn't going to remember me...I have had this cat since he was about 5 weeks...
He wasn't happy on the ride home; he wouldn't even come near me in his cat carrier. As soon as we got home though and I opened his "prison" he took a sniff and then came right up to me...like nothing had changed.
ABSOLUTELY the kitty will remember you...the sound of your voice but especially your scent!

Cats may be wild animals, but they do respond to and care for people that have spend a lot of time around them.
If you raised this cat from a kitten, there is a special bond there. My husband goes on many many business trips. Sometimes for a s long as three weeks.
Every time he comes back from a trip, Neko meets him at the door and jumps in his lap and is very excited.
Expect the your cat to be wary around the house for a few days, and yes even ignore you a little. Cats are very attuned to their environment and she may take a few days to re-adjust to yours.

Of course she will recognise you, and she will be happy to see you or she may be a little pissed off because you left her, it depends on her mood. She may ignore you for a day, but don't be fooled, if she does, it is her way of showing she missed you and she was sad you left her alone. After 1-2 days she will show you a lot of affection or will be like she normally is, but anyway she will definitely recognise you.

I take my cats to the cattery every holiday, believe me unless it's a house cat, they'll enjoy the freedom of being set free once home. They still know where to come for food if you think she 'll run away. My cats remember me when I get back.

I have a cat at home and I know the answer to your question. I've had my cat since she was born and we sent her to get fixed. When she came home the first person she ran to was me. She can even say my name and that's what she did. Don't worry, I'm sure your cat will remember you.

Of course she will remember you. As soon as you return her to your home, all the scents will be there. She might be a bit off with you at first, to let you know what she thinks of you leaving her, but she'll soon be back to normal. Just give her lots and lots of love and attention and extra treats.

She will definitely remember you, and she may very well be annoyed that you went away without her permission. When you pick her up and cuddle her, she may refuse to look at you at first, just to make you feel a little guilty, but then she will give you a little headrub or kiss and finally she will look at you and all will be forgiven.
