On my bookshelf, it means that my Koran is against the Bible on the left and my Rig Veda is against the Bible on the right. My collected works of Karl Marx are not against the Bible at the moment, but they are against the Koran.

I believe that it saying that what someone is doing or something is happening is not in line with what the Bible says.
Although, I see what you mean. It is not literally against the Bible itself, but what is written inside of it.
For example, if some one were to lie, another person may say they are 'going against the Bible' when actually they meann 'you are not following one of the Ten Commandments.'
Hope this helped!

In the opinion of the person saying "it's against the Bible" (or in the opinion of the individual or group that is telling this person what to believe), the translation of The Bible to which this person is referring contains an excerpt somewhere that describes whatever "it" is to be contrary to the Will of Jehovah.

It is not an object it is a living testament of God's words to His followers so we believe if "against the Bible" even though I really don't hear those words that it is not something our God wants us to do. In our faith our God would see that as a transgression against him.

Well, my belief is that the Bible is the word of God so, if it against the Bible, then, it is against God. Thanks for the question and have a Great day!

It's against the Bible means that it is contradictory to scriptural teachings, which is the word of God. God bless.

What it means is that a person has chosen to not follow the examples that have been mentioned in th bible or at the least not adhere to a verse in the bible.
I agree it is nothing more than a book. What should matter is how a person treats others.

It means "it contradicts my personal interpretations of the biblical texts". However, people who use the phrase don't seem to be aware that when a conflict exists between something in the real world vs. their personal biblical interpretations, it might very well be their biblical interpretations that are wrong!
