I dont think anyone WANTS to have a long distance relationship. Life happens and gets in the way, you just have to work around it. If someone wants to be with their long distance BF or GF enough/or they love them enough, they will move to where the other person is and quit the long distance thing. Those people who have relationships over the internet or out of state "just because" are probably wasting their time. Long distance relationships wont last if there isnt commitment.

HMMmm prepare for a dificult and very strategic relationship.... i was in a long distance reltationship i went off to school in San Antonio and my gf stayed home for college.... I would call her everyday we would talk and text throughout the whole day. The most difficult times were when she got sad and i was not there for her. I began to fly home every other 2 or 3 weeks for the weekend. We tried it for 8 months and are still together. I am now home for the summer and am staying here for school. I will not leave her no more becuase after that experience you realize how important the other person is and how much you value/love them. Good luck because these relationships are very difficult and you will realize how much you care about the person from this type of relationship . GOOD LUCK! :)

Long distance relationships do not work at all. I know because i was once in one. My boyfriend was in Florida and i was in Chicago with my mother. I would call him and write letter but he never responded. So I a made surprise visit and i found out that he was cheating and that the girl who he was with was pregnant. That why I will never let anyone that asks about long distance relationships because i do not want them to have there heart broken.

I really do not believe that long distance relationships survive for too long b/c no one wants to constantly be alone nor do they want to even think that their significant other is w/ someone else in any way. It is jus to much of a bad thing to have those thoughts.
