I'm really embarassed when I go to gym class, because I think I'm the olny one who doesn't shave. I also don't want boys to see my legs so hairy. What should I do?

Wax. It's easier.. but you'll feel a little pain. Shaving is annoying and the hair does grow fast.. so just ask if you can wax.

oh my gosh honey, tell your parents how it makes you feel. You are a teen now, no girl wants to have hairy legs in gym class. Talk to them and explain how badly it bothers you. I would want my daughter to shave her legs, I dont see anything wrong with it at all, its good heigine. Makes you look more clean and presentable.

If your parents dont want you to shave then you might just have to wait until they let you. I know how hard it is to have to wait but you might have no choice. Try to remember that if you do shave your legs without permission then you could possibly loose their respect and their trust. This may or may not mean anything to you now but it will when your older (trust me!). But the only thing you could really do is tell your parents the truth (that its embarrasing and you dont agree with them).

aww, my parents used to be like this too. I don't want to get you in trouble, but sneak and do it. I used to sneak and use my stepdad's razor that he used to shave his face with. I would wear pants around my mom, but wear shorts at gym because boys that age can be MEAN. My mom eventually found out what I was doing (because I made the attempt to shave my eyebrows since she wouldnt let me get those waxed...but thats another story lol) and since she found out that I had been doing it so long she just gave up and let me do it.

Use Nair. I think your parents would like that. It's not shaving. It's just a cream that you put on your leg and leave it for a couple minutes. Then wipe it off. No hair.

Shaving at 13? Ridiculous! If your friends were to jump off a bridge would you do it too? And so what if boys see hair on your legs...it's SUPPOSED to be there. If they're the type who'd make fun of you for it, they're not the kind of people you need to associate with anyway.

Sit your parents down, and let them know what a concern it is to you. Let them know that you're the only one, and hopefully you'll get some sympathy. Remind your parents that there is other options, such as nair, that are safe and don't require a razor. With some strong points and a good, mature arguement, you're parents should start understanding. Don't try and sneak though, that won't work -- trust me, from experience.

Sit down with your parents, or your mom if it would be more comfortable and tell them why you want to shave. Insted of saying because i want to... tell them how you feel during gym. You can also talk about other alternatives like Nair. Good luck

why do they not want you to shave yet? is it a religious thing?
talk to them about it and find out what thier issue is.
to be honest, i didnt even tell my mom when i started shaving, i just went in the bathroom and did it.
would they be really upset if you just went ahead and did it?
