So easy--
Use a harness not a collar
Keep the leash short
Lift upward to keep dog on its feet
Just walk and pull
Ignore any protesting, just walk. They will learn quickly.

To train your puppy to walk on a lead it is best to start as young as possible. Before you teach her to walk on-lead she must be taught to accept a collar or harness.

1. Put a collar/harness on your puppy.

2. Give your puppy a yummy or a toy.

3. Let her explore for a while wearing her collar/harness.

4. Now attach the lead.

5. Do not touch the lead. Feed her another yummy.

6. Allow her to explore with it for a few hours.

7. After she is adjust to pulling the lead around pick it up.

8. While calling her name, walk slowly. Give her another yummy.

9. Now you can try taking her for a walk outside. Don't forget to bring the yummies!

This is how i trainined my puppy to walk on a leash. I first got him and right away put a collar on him and would let him drag a leash around the house,so he can get use to the weight of the leash. After a couple days i picked up the leash and followed him around. After awhile I would walk and he would follow, usually puppies want to follow you. if he started to pull pop the leash(lil tug) and say heal. this worked for me!GOOD LUCK

This is how I have always done it and it's worked for me.
For about 2 days whaen you can watch him put teh lesh on him and let him drag it around the house.
then for a day or two pick the leash up but at first let him go where he sants ( as long as it's safe)
tehn kneel or squat down and give a very slight pull and say come her ( what ever the name is) then slowly start to get up and start waling with him and call him to follow you.
he should pick up fairly quickly.
