I went to get the titles to a car that was sold to me, & the guy who sold it to me never put the car in his name. So now I have to go get a BONDED title. How much will that cost? & can this guy get in trouble or can I sue him? The people said that basically what he did was theft. & he signed the car's titles in the wrong spot, & so did the seller before him.

Well my dear, since the guy is a cheat and a slime, maybe NOW something can be done about him. I believe it is illegal to sell a car you don't own. I mean, after all, could I sell my neighbor's car (which is worth much more than mine)? What do the police say about him? I don't believe this is a civil matter, I believe it is now a criminal matter. THAT *** NOT ONLY SOLD YOU A LOUSY CAR, HE DIDN'T EVEN OWN IT.

I don't know much about the law; especially in different states, but contact whomever you can. The police, the Better Business Bureau, an Ombudsmen.

I don't know why YOU have to go get a bonded title; he should have sold you a car with a clear title. If all else fails, take his sorry butt to small claims court and have the deal rescinded and get your money back.

He makes me so mad, he is a creep and a Godless human being.

Hopefully someone on here is well versed in the law in car sales and can give you some concrete advice.

BTW this in NOT you fault so no blaming the victim here.

try to contact the car's previous owners. i had a problem like this once. i ended up tracking down this guy who hadn't had the car for several years. he technically still owned it until he signed it over to me, which he did willingly. he even let me date his daughter for a while.

you need to try and contact seller. i guess you already did that huh? police may be an option. maybe it's an oversight on his part and the police could track him down and correct problemo...meanwhile, you need a car...ouch! i feel you...GL with it.
