I permenitlly dyed the ends of my hair red but it looks like it has washed out and its not very red anymore you can hardly notice it I bough Clairol it was $3 is this y do i need to buy a more expenisive one and I am sure it was permenint and it has been about 3 weeks and I wash my hair 3 times a week

I hate to be the one to rain on your parade, but, having gone through every brand on the market, the only way to get color to last is by going to a professional colorist. I wish I could gift you my red hair! No matter whether I use blonde or brown, it keeps wanting to go back to the beginning. I finally gave up and set aside a part of my budget to have it done at the salon. The one brand I really did find I liked consistently was the L'Oreal creme. Good luck.

If you dye your hair a color that it very far from its own it won't last very long. All permanent dye should stay close to its color for 4-6 weeks if done properly. If you want a ery bright red that will stay for a long time check out a sallys beauty supply store. You don't have to be licensed to shop there and it has very good quality dyes.
