would it be wiser to just start to focus on Syria?Iran DOES NOT want any part of the US military...they have seen what the force of our country will do. This is a major part on why we can not pull out and run from Iraq. The whole world is watching. If we run we will never again be feared, and yes the world does fear the the Red White and Blue.We are the "police: of the world, whether you or I like it.Better it be us than them, right. I believe the US wil not enter Iran with ground forces, I just think we will use our powers in the sky, or our mysteries in the ocean to put an end to the Iranian Nuclear Disaster. Either way Iran will loose all its nuclear toys soon.. How they loose them is up to them...Syria I believe will become the next target , as we are already spinning the propaganda machine in that direction..All this taking place in the next 5 yrs...This is a chess game played at a very high level, in which you and I cannot comprehend....Semper Fi..http://360.yahoo.com/lavadogmarineone

I think we should attack Iran now. The grass isn't getting any greener. Iran's president has said that Israel should be wiped off the map. And he isn't pro U.S. either. He's said alot of provoking comments addressed to this nation/ Israel. Either we strike Iran first, or they strike us first. I think Syria should be made part of this too. They have been sponsoring terrorism for years. Both countries hate the U.S. and Israel/ western civilization. A nuclear Iran is dangerous. Once Iran acquires such weapons of mass destruction, they will intend to use them. And don't forget the other terrorist groups Iran sponsors. Imagine those groups having nuclear weapons and using them against Israel, the U.S., or Europe.

I think you overestimate US might in the air when faced with the Russian supplied anti aircraft systems of Iran. They may be a decade old, but trust me its a lot easier to shoot a plane down than to keep it flying. Israel hesitates and its air force is the best in the world when it comes to precision strikes like the ones you're talking about. You are correct in that a ground war in Iran will be futile as the time of imperialism has ended with WWII and nationalism will see Iranian through any incursion of the sort, much better than its already doing for Iraq.
Syria is a possibility because they are not nearly as together as Iran, however, Iran might interfere more directly making that a dud. They were interested in the toppling of Saddam more than we were since he was the big menace in the region. we, having played right into Iran's hands are somewhat SOL for any of our grandiose military plans in the future.
There is another solution which is currently working in North Korea and that is diplomacy. if NK is disarming, we would have no problems talking Iran into the same. It would be a lot cheaper than the war and a lot more likely to succeed.
I hope this clarifies some of the situation for you.

we can could comprehend whether or not there is yet another service team rotating out to respond to that query. Our armed forces is unfold so skinny that i think of an air strike on strategic objectives in Iran isn't deliberate for the instantaneous destiny. Plus, united statesa. honors the Geneva conventions or the favorite regulations of conflict and could not enact a armed forces plan except it assures no collateral injury. the item is to wreck Iran's nuclear ability, not kill hundreds of harmless civilians. No conflict plan survives after basically a couple of minutes of struggling with and there are continually unpredicted circumstances. inspect Iraq. no person foresaw wideapread insurgency. And in Iran it rather is probable that the spineless leaders and extremists have placed the nuclear processing vegetation close to to or amid civilian populations or decrease than cities in bunkers. purely think of what proportion innocents could could die except we acquire rock good intelligence, plan meticulously, and use the main technologically stronger weaponry everyday to guy.

Do we not have our hands full right now in Iraq? I agree that we would use our air power in Iran, but an attack such as that would need ground forces eventually, and where would those troops come from?
