Golf carts and electric vehicles (such as GEM) are very popular in my community. I can get to all the stores, banks, restaurants, medical offices, etc. via golf cart paths. They make a lot of sense (reduced cost of operation per mile) when you use it rather than a large car or SUV or you just play golf everyday. State and local laws vary as to which public streets (and hours of the day) golf carts may be used. Double check before buying.
