there is a tool called vm workstation that has the ability to open ISO files. www.vmware.com .. Otherwise you have to burn the ISO to dvd or cd before it's usable on a computer.

DAEMON TOOLS DOES work with WINDOWS XP
I use it myself. There are also programs that can burn iso to CD and then it's just like a normal old CD
Also, maybe look into alcohol 120% that's a great program like daemon tools

Get Magic ISO.
You can mount the ISO file directly as a drive letter (i.e. F:\)
I have used Magic ISO to:
- install Windows Vista Trial instead of creating the CD
- install Fedora (Linux) directly from the ISO file
Very cool tool!

EA Games doesn't deliver The Sims 2: University game as an ISO file so I'm guessing you are trying to get help for an illegally obtained file.
Try looking up information on http://www.bsa.org for help.

Um, an ISO is a disk image. It sounds like you either need an emulator to pretend it is a CD drive, or burn it to a disk.

ISO images are ment to be burned to a cd. You can use winrar to unzip it, but usually it's easier to move it to a cd. Disregarding ease, though, your options are:
Unzip using WinRAR (or other unziping program)
Burn to CD (using Roxio or Active ISO burner) and run cd.
