I found it very disrespectful how Oprah did Ice Cube and Ludacris. They were supposed to be interviewed as actors for "Barbershop" and "Crash" and instead she bashed their music. Ice Cube is not the same jheri curl wearing gangbanger he used to be. He's a mature, educated businessman with a family. Does ANYone in that age group support hip hop? Not all songs are bad. I know I shouldn't care but it's frustrating.

Why would you find it disrespectful? she has the money. When asked why she gave ten million to the African kids for a school instead of an American school, she stated "American kids don't deserve it" so, continue to contribute to her shows, magazines and her charities, this is how she feels about us, American citizens.
As for Hip-Hop, the African musicians are in an uproar over Hip Hop, they say it's there's and we're expounding on it, we stole it from them along with everything else.

And, it's just another fad, we've gone through fads before. From the 60's until now, there's been dozens of them, hang in there, next year it'll be something else so, don't let it bother you.

Isn't this in the wrong place?

Ummm totally wrong area for this question. And to answer, it, no it doesnt suck. I cant stand hip hop but I think ppl have a right to listen to it and if she doesnt like it, that's her business. I dont really care for her myself but she does do some good things with that money (and she can definitely afford to) and I think she was right in trying to encourage the hip hop community to think about the message they are sending about women and their culture.

not to be mean..but I really dosn't care what Oprah has to say or think of others. She isn't GOD...and I am sure those artists aren't crying about it.

I understand you are frustrated....but let it be. I don't even give a cr$% to watch her show. I have better things to do...she is sooooo fake. Just my point of view.

Believe it or not, the sun does not rise and set on Ophrah. She is free to believe what she wants to. I happen to agree with her.
