I know its best for your metabolism to eat early in the day, but sometimes I just really dont feel like eating. However, whenever this happens I normally eat a ton at night, and I was wondering if it would be better for me to force myself to eat earlier, than to overeat at night...

The best thing to do is eat something for breakfast, not ALOT of food, but fruit or yogurt, those sorts of things. You don't want alot of carbs or caffeine in the morning or you will crash, your body will be sluggish for the rest of the day. Eating something in the morning will also get your metabolism going. If you don't eat, your body stays dormant, and you don't burn any calories. My grandmother was a nurse, she used to say "eat breakfast and it gets the juices flowin" :)

Also eat small amounts all throughout the day, healthy stuff like granola or fruit, drink lots of water, stay away from soda, and other high calorie, high sugar drinks.

DO NOT starve yourself or your body gets confused and doesn't know when it will get sustinance next and will store up FAT.

Then have a medium sized dinner around let's say 6 or 7 at the latest (if you go to bed around 10 or 11). Drink a big glass of water anytime you feel hunger pains. Honestly it could be hard at first, it takes will power and discipline and after a little while your body won't be hungry at night anymore.

You're training your body when to eat. I used to be the same exact way, no breakfast and big dinner, snacking all night. I started eating breakfast, and small amounts throughout the day, high fiber stuff, yogurt, soup etc. I no longer get hungry before bed. Last resort is water, it will fill your stomach and make you think you're full.

You have to program your body to eat at designated times. If you do not feel like eating in the morning, especially when the important meal of the day is breakfast, you are letting your body control you into bad eating habits. Metabolism controls this.

Notice that normal weight people eat more? Of course I know some that eat bad foods, but notice the portions the healthy people eat during the day? They graze their food, not starve themselves. The choice of healthy food is a necessity.

Notice that supper is always between 6 pm and 7 pm, and nothing eaten after 8 pm?

Right, you set the pace of your metabolism by eating a balanced meal in the morning. MAKE yourself eat a half piece of toast and 2 or 3 swallows of cheese or meat (or tofu, beans, legumes). That tiny bit, if you do it regularly, is a good start to retraining you body to accept (be hungry for) breakfast. Then, you'll be getting away from binging at night.
Best wishes, and don't forget the fruits & veggies (YUM!).

Yes! You burn more calories during the day. Think about it, during the day you are walking, typing, talking, whatever you do, you are a lot more active then just laying there sleeping.

Your body burns off the calories you eat in the morning, but not all of the ones you eat late at night.

i don't be attentive to your son or you in my opinion of course, yet Diets tend to extra healthful extra suitable to the guy fairly then being compelled upon them, i think of you may desire to seek for suggestion out of your son approximately it, any city or city midsection might desire to have a nutritionist to seek for suggestion from, they are able to help your son discover a foodstuff plan that suits him, and as for workouts, purely a pastime like base ball should not be adequate as exercising, stable finished physique workouts might contain swimming, runnning, boxer-cise etc. i could fairly recommend Boxer-cise, in case you will discover a team at a close-by gymnasium it fairly is an extremely helpful, quickly paced form of exercising, and in case you pick to work out effects then it is in step with danger the thank you to head, i could say which you may desire to commence doing an hour a week for some month or so and then advance 2 days a week 3 days a week etc. yet each and each of the exercising interior the worldwide won't make a distinction if he does not have the right foodstuff plan, it relies upon the form you pick him to shed pounds, he can shed pounds via weight-reduction plan, or exercising. the right foodstuff plan can teach you how to shed pounds consistently (low calorie intake etc) yet a stable exercising recurring demands a extra physically powerful calorie intake (yet not decrease than ANY situations junk foodstuff, I mean carbohydrates, proteins etc) a nutritionist can clarify extra, yet i'm afraid i won't be able to help a lot.

It is better to eat in the morning when you are not hungry, because your body is fasting at this time and you need to break it in order to feel good for the rest of the day.
