My boyfriend conviently leaves out a lot of what he is out doing. (Ususally when he is hanging with his ex) When I found out and ask him why he lied, he says "I am not lying, I just didn't tell you". What's your opinion? Is this lying?

that's very convenient to leave stuff out... I would do that if there was something i didn't want my significant other to know... Kind of, whatever they don't know won't hurt them... So in my book that's lying...

Omission is NOT lying. What YOU need to ask if "Is there something your not telling me that I would think I need to know? If he says no (and has been with the ex) THEN he is lying. Sweety he is covering his assss and you need to learn how to go around that. They have tricks up their sleeves that basically gets them out of trouble..But I been around the block and I know ALL the angles and how to get around them.

Omission IS the same as lying.

Especially when it comes to an ex.

"oh honey I didn't lie about it, I just didn't tell you that I'm sleeping with her"

I would reconsider this relationship.

if he doesn't have nothing to hide he could trust you and tell you instead of omitting the information. He obviously had to lie otherwise he would tell you. So it is definitely lying!!
