The bleeding will have to stop on its own. Don't aggravate the area by sticking the gauze in the sockets and removing it...change it as directed by your doctor. Try to lay as horizontal as possible. If you are propped up, the blood will continue to come out.
Also, don't eat any food that will make it continue to bleed. Take it easy and stick with your applesauce, soup and soft food.
Good luck and I hope you feel better!

There isn't really a way to stop the bleeding. They have to heal just like any other cut. I had mine taken out and by day 2 the bleeding stopped. You are just going to have to wait it out. Take the pain pills and sleep. The less you use your mouth for talking/eating/drinking, the faster it heals!

Patience - some times it takes longer for some people. Don't smoke, or eat and only drink through a straw. It should stop bleeding in a few hours

A warm tea bag. It might sound really weird but it does work. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled I went through the same thing. I called the dentist he had recommended to me. Good luck

Also, don't eat anything warm. If you do eat anythng make it really col, like some ice cream.

Only time will stop the bleeding, sorry. But you can refrain from activities that may aggravate the bleeding. Avoid straws and cigarettes, or anything that causes a sucking action.

Put a moist tea bag there instead of gauze every 30 mins or so.

Keep the gauze in there with pressure. Dry socket sucks.
