consider this. assuming you believe in the story of creation, how many of you would rather take the word of a talking snake over an omnipotent, all-knowing god? in order for one to do what adam and eve did, would require their brain to be so poorly developed that it would be further back in the evolution of man than early primates.

That is so funny. However, you need to remember that "talking snake" was a serpent before the curse.

I believe in evolution. That is fact. I just do not believe that anything here happened without the guidance of God. I believe in the Bible record, but the main thing for me is that God created this universe.

Have you ever been deceived by someone smarter than you?
Have you ever been flattered and then stepped into a trap?

I believe that's what happened with Adam and Eve. They thougt they could become greater than God if they ate the fruit. Their pride was aroused and that became their downfall.

I don't think it's a matter of the size of brain. It's a matter of the foolishness of our hearts to fall for things we shouldn't fall for.

Quote, "Certainly our brains have evolved, haven't they?"

Oh, yes, big-time. Not so very long ago an atheist would have been burned at the stake, and human brains kind-of stalled for several dark centuries. Now, more and more, we puling human creatures are beginning to see the light--in Western Europe, in Canada, and some day, maybe one day soon in univesal 'time,' in the USA.

After reading some of the questions and answers on this forum you really do wonder if the brain ever evolved in some people.

Yes it's due to a gene called ASPM that triggers human brain growth. Half of humanity has a new variant of the gene lying dormant so it still has further to develop yet.

Edit- No it's quite true and thumbs down don't make it any less true.

High intellect does not shield one from deception. Consider all the false religions that tell their followers, in essence, you can be like God or be a god. Often, our fleshly desires override our intellect.

Actually people are so dumb now that they run gleefully after symbols that the peasants of the days of yore whom moderns think were so dumb ran in terror from.

Not necessarily, God might've just dropped both of them on their heads when they were created.

I don't agree with your theory. I've seen modern-day folks do some really stupid stuff. Does this mean that humanity is "de-volving"?
