If there was a "BEST" then there would be no need for choices would there?
The ISO 100, 200, 300 etc, are equivalent to the ASA number that you see on film for regular cameras. Different situations call for different ISO/ASA numbers. See the following sites for a better explaination with pictures.

Use 400 it will be great for all situations. ISO 100 would however give you a clearer picture if you go past 8x12, but for standard 4x6 fire at 400. Pro's use 400 speed film for all situations, although digital is somewhat different explore yourself and learn, record the speeds and lighting for reference.
