I have personally never seen God, nor have I heard Him speak to me audibly. Everything I have is faith, however, the longer you walk with Him, the more proof you get. Christians understand that statement........

I'm sure that if God showed himself to you, you would still have to have faith that it was really God and not your imagination right? I know I would second guess my sanity if I didnt have complete and total faith that it was God himself. And then after knowing it's him, Im sure he would give you advice or tell you to do something, which requires even more faith, to know that whatever he asks you to do, it will work out.

God works in mysterious ways. Why He hides Himself from others and shows Himself for others, I do not know. He longs to have a relationship with all of us. It is sort of a miracle when Jesus communicates with you.
Even before His resurrection, Jesus was very selective about those for whom He performed miracles. Actually, He refused to perform miracles in His own area " because of their unbelief" like you see in Matt 13:58.
Jesus even disappointed Herod who had hoped to see Him perform a miracle in Luke 23:8. The truth is that Jesus refused to cast pearls before swine, LOL. If you read Matt7:6, you know what I mean.
In submission to Father's will ( John 5:30 ), He was sovereign over His activity both before and after His resurrection. But this in no way provides that He was essentially invisible and immaterial either before or after His resurrection.
Faith is essential. If you have faith, you will see miracles.

Please do not make the mistake of believing that seeing is believing. God is not looking for people who merely believe that He exists, even Satan believes God exists, God is looking for people who will respond to His invitation to have an intimate relationship with Him. If that’s your desire, the words in the Bible when read prayerfully WILL ignite your awareness of the God who loves you. However to sustain your experience you need to monitor your SPIRITUAL LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM. It has three easy parts to remember.
(1) Read your Bible daily
(2) Pray to the Lord daily
(3) Fellowship with other Christians daily
If you can keep these things in balance, it will be very difficult for Satan to seriously derail your faith or your joy as a Christian.
"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

God is beyond our human perception and reasoning abilities, that's why He needs to reveal Himself to us.
A lot of his revealing is done via the Bible, but you can't read the Bible like any other text book or novel, you have to ask Him to explain to you what He means by what's written in the Bible. That's why Bible reading needs to be done prayerfully.
Heb 11:6 "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that HE REWARDS THOSE WHO EARNESTLY SEEK HIM."

You can have faith even with the knowledge or evidence of God existing. That just reinfoces your faith in him doesn't it?

Fortunately peoples claims of 'witnessing god' don't count as evidence to anyone other than themselves.
To anyone else it's just the rantings of religious nuts - who never needed faith in the first place because they never question the existence of their so called 'god'.

I hear you...the virgin Mary appears to some shepherds in Albania, or on a taco..
Maybe God has the same publicist as UFOs and a limited budget to work with?

I completely agree with you. Just because one has never seen a million dollars in cash doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. However, everyone has his or her own beliefs/opinions and we as Christians need to respect that.
