The question is did the priest really convert? The Islamic Faith has issued numerous lies and hoaxes regarding converts. Example: Neil Armstrong, said to have heard some noise on the moon (ADHAN associated with the Islamic faith) and converted on his return.
Not true, complete hoax.
"Hopefully, the following statement will help to put this claim at rest. Neil Armstrong participated in the Global Leadership Forum in Malaysia on 6 September 2005. The Star Malaysia, currently the most widely read English newspaper in Malaysia, took the occasion to interview him on his moon landing mission with Apollo 11. In the article, Armstrong recalls moon landing, published on 7 September 2005, both in print and online, one finds this statement: Armstrong, 75, also denied he had heard the Muslim call to prayer on the moon and had converted to Islam."

So the question remains did the priest really convert or is this another example of the propaganda submitted to the world by the Islamic Faith?

First the links to his convertion story didn't work.

If he was a Priest, he probably wasn't even a Christian.

And let's be clear, being a Priest or Pastor does not guarantee that anyone is a genuine Christian.

I don't hate anyone -- but I believe a person who leaves Christianity for Islam is sinning.

And FYI, there's a female Episcopalian priest who converted to Islam and she's still conducting Christian services:

She says she's still 100% Christian, but also 100% Muslim. If you can understand that, you're a better thinker than I am.

And FYI, it works both ways: Dr. Ergun Caner is an ex-Muslim who's now a Christian. He serves as the President of Liberty Theological Seminary (founded by Dr. Jerry Falwell): http://www.erguncaner.com/home/default.php

I'm more interested in 'that priest' who was killed in Iraq two weeks ago on his way out of church.
addition: I got the link to work. I listened to two minutes and heard nothing about a 'priest' converting.

Everone, including a priest, should have the right to convert to anything they wish without being judged by others.
Just because it does not seem to be the right path for others does not mean it was not the right path for the priest to take.

I don't think that one person matters that much, honestly. And I hate no one.

Do Muslims hate the hundreds of Muslims who are converting to Christianity, even despite the fact that some of them are threatened with death because of it? Muslims are risking their lives to proclaim that Jesus is God.

Na. Catholics aren't Christians. Whatsamatter - didn't those guys kill enough of you during the Crusades to give you at least a hint? Hm. Maybe Islam lowers the reasoning facilities, huh? Unless you're a Fed of course. Then you're dealing with the devil himself!

The Idea of hating someone in any real way seems decidedly against the teachings of Christ.

Maybe there are Christians who do, but I would argue that it isn't particularly Christian...

I do not, and I am Catholic. He can believe what he wants. I am not going to stop him.
