Even if I would try desperately...
I can't bring myself to think of homosexuals as sinners.
I can't bring myself to think that abortion is wrong in all cases.
I can't bring myself to think euthanasia is wrong in all cases.

I believe in freedom for anybody, as long as they don't hurt others. God seems to be having a bit of a problem with that very simple, basic concept.

Why on earth should I accept Jesus into my heart, and with that start to condemn my few gay friends, that 14 year old raped girl who desperately needed an abortion, that very ill 91 year old man who is begging for euthanasia, etc, etc. ?

As a "Christian", having the same beliefs as you "I can't bring myself to think of homosexuals as sinners. I can't bring myself to think that abortion is wrong in all cases. I can't bring myself to think euthanasia is wrong in all cases." When I hear these other Christians say "God thinks this and got hates this" It makes me mad & sad because thats not my God or how I view Him. I thought and belive he is a loving God.

I don't disagree with you there about the need to accept euthanasia and abortion but heaven is about faith AND tradition.
Tradition might tell you that abortion should be avoided but faith will tell you that if its necessary then it is right.
Being christian or believing in god has nothing to do with believing that homosexuals or pro-choicers are sinners and I think that many christians know that people who just spew out hate don't understand what it means to love one another in the first place.
I think people should stop competing over what it means to be a christian and love one another regardless of tradition.

i dont look at it as lowering my standards, i think a sin is a sin whether it be little to you or huge to you. as far as the 91 year old man begging for death, what if that same man raped that 14 year old girl? would you still feel the way you do? so a child was raped and got pregnant how is the unborn child to blame and who is the mother to decide her death?i agree sometimes life is not fair but change it up a bit dont just look at one point. im not saying i agree or disagree with any off the above im just saying murder is murder and sin is a sin regardless what it is.

I heard someone recently describe 'living' in Heaven as something similar to living in North Korea.
Stay with me; I think it works.

Kim Jong Il, Dear Leader, (God) has absolute power of Life and Death over all his subjects.
Kim Jong Il, Dear Leader, (God) tells his people they should be thankful for everything they have because it is by his grace that they have it.
Kim Jong Il, Dear Leader, (God) although on the one hand seemingly benevolent, is an absolute despot and will take NO mistake as an excuse.
Kim Jong Il, Dear Leader, (God) gives his blessing to each subject/object living under his love as long as his subjects bow and do his will similar in a manner to slavery ... which happens to be pretty big in The Goat Herders' Guide to the Galaxy.

Heaven, like North Korea, would, if it existed, be a Totalitarian regime with no freedom of choice – shoot! It sounds slightly similar to living under Shari’a Law in Taliban country.

And Xians think they’re gonna live for eternity in the warmth of The Imaginary Sky Chappie’s love; bask in his glory and be with their family and friends.
Have they got a surprise!
(Need I add: If it existed?)

I agree that abortion is not wrong in all cases. A case of pregnancy due to rape, child molestation or incest, Or where the mothers life would be endangered, or if the child was determined to be deformed in mind or body. Then abortion is indicated. Otherwise abortion is no less than murder. Freedom of choice should end when a Pierson chooses to freely engage in sexual intercourse without making him use a rubber. Euthanasia should be your choice in all cases. Or the choice of your closest relative if your brain is damaged and you are comatose with no hope of recovery. But not if you are pregnant, then It would also be murder.

so here is my two cents.....

I try very hard not to judge anyone. I try to love everyone as christ did. And Jesus loved everyone, sinners and saints alike. But especially us poor sinners.

so i don't think i am lowering my moral standards for heaven. I love all my homosexual friends and my friends who have had abortions. Sometimes i may not understand their choices, but I never ever judge them.

and I think that when we all get to heaven, we will ALL be suprised as to who is actually there and who isn't!

because it will be god doing the judging not man.

How did you read my mind? Are you my long lost twin or something? I agree so much with what you've said, it's almost scary. Anyway, I could never lower myself to worship a god that floods the earth and drowns everyone, kills the babies and children in a plague in Egypt, orders Abraham to kill his son just to see if he'd do it, and then burn all nonbelievers for an eternity.

Nobody told you that you should condemn anyone if you accepted Jesus into your heart. You are accusing God of false things. You could be a christian and hang out with everyone you are talking about.

I unquestionably completely trust what you pronounced! I choose each "judgmental" individual who's attempting to make those persons who do not believe in "gay intercourse" (yet do believe in the innate goodness of the guy who commits such acts) experience responsible or illiberal could study your phrases. I choose many people could state this repeatedly lower back till those so-pronounced as "tolerant" people could get the message. My nephew is gay. i admire him. He is acquainted with properly that his mum and dad, his grandparents and his aunts and uncles all love him unconditionally. however, not one persons approves of his way of existence, and he's likewise acquainted with that too. it rather is fantastic. He is acquainted with and accepts our love and does not evaluate us judgmental, because of fact we at the instant are not judging him. we are leaving that to God because of fact basically God can comprehend the point of temptation he has and, in his case, he does not even look to contemplate gay intercourse as a sin. in case you do not believe what you're doing is sinful, you at the instant are not responsible. (you will not be able to commit sin without understanding it.) thank you plenty for saying what needs to be pronounced repeatedly and in this form of fantastic way!

You overwhelm me with your wisdom sometimes. Glad to see you posting!

And to answer, no, it's not worth lowering your standards-it's the same as shopping at Wal-Mart (which kills small businesses). It's never worth the price you pay.

I already accept love for my fellow creatures in my heart. I don't need anyone's twisted deities clogging my valves.
