I was raised in a Christian family and have always believed in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that he died on the cross to give me eternal life. Yet I have been told by some that if I change my sex, I will not be allowed in Heaven after I die. I don't want to spend eternity in Hell, but I also don't want to spend the rest of my life here on earth as a man.

If you change your sex willingly....how is that glorifying to God?

I believe you are saved my dear....but please don't do this.
We are saved by grace but......grace is not a license to live as we please.

Don't use your Christian liberty to please the flesh (Galatians 5)

Don't listen to any of these negative voices. You aren't going to go to hell. You are being yourself. Be proud. There are positive churches that accept us and the true word of Jesus......basically love each other. That's what Christ taught. Most Christianity is twisted and Jesus would probably throw up if he saw what the church has done and is doing now in his name. Check out the United Church of Christ.

The bible says a father can kill his daughter. The bible says slaves be good to your masters. Stop using that book as a weapon. Stop making people hate themselves. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT!!!

Being born transsexual is not a sin, and neither is being treated for it.

Your God created you, and loves you, as you are; not as society, or a bunch of ill-informed bigots want you to be.
Having a sex change no more prevents you from going to heaven than having a tonsillectomy does.

(And, for Mr MOM; transsexual people are BORN transsexual; being transsexual is not dependent on, or defined by, surgery)

Only God can tell you where you "will go".., He'll know when YOU choose since you aren't dead yet.
God has set the guidelines for "life" as He created it. There may be mistakes affecting many of us, even from the time of conception by the 'seed provider' and/or the 'soil receiver' and it DOES matter to our final being.
We came FROM God and to come to earth is (to my understanding) a promotion; but upon entering the 'earth realm' it has to be shock. When a Daddy and Mommie come together and conceive a child, the inherent promise to that soul sent to inhabit that body is: "I am here for you and will love you and take care of you FOR GOD so that you can return home having accomplished your purpose and mission that you WANTED to come here for."
God NEVER violates your freewill that He gave you. It is YOURS forever.., but there IS an enemy who dispises you and is terrified of your purpose and mission woven into you by God that will glorify God and affect many of us here. The devil HATES you and your purpose and will do anything to blind you and deter you.., so what better way than to put this obcession inside you that you are in the wrong body or have the wrong plumbing?
I pray you come to a place of peace.
Since you believe in Jesus, why not seek WITH ALL YOUR HEART, with people who evidence it and teach it, "the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT of God" and then ASK, through His own Spirit WHAT IS THE PROBLEM and if you are still persuaded you are in the wrong body, go for it!!, But without the assurance of God's Holy Spirit, you will never know for sure..., only following your emotions/feelings, which can change..., and your will...?

I can only answer this with a very simple question: Would you want to spend an eternity with a god who would send people to hell for having a sex change?

I wouldn't, sorry. I fail to see why anybody would want to spend even more than a minute with such an amoral god.

If you feel that changing your gender makes you a better person, if it makes you feel more comfortable with yourself: please go for it!

Good luck.

If you don't get forgiveness for changing the nature in which God created you, then according to HIS WORD, not my feelings, you would most likely be condemned to Hell. You might not be able to change back to a man, but you CAN get forgiveness and live the life He wanted you to live.

Christians believe a lot of crazy crap. You were BORN trans, that's not a choice you made. You can't be judged on that. Besides, it's your body, mod it however you wish.

This is EXACTLY why I follow a religion other than Christianity!

Part of being God's child is not to continue in sin. The Bible says that even devils believe in God and tremble. Believing in God and being born again are two different things.

Only God's Spirit can bring about a change in your life. Only God can bring about regeneration.

Romans 6
1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7For he that is dead is freed from sin.

8Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

I would think so because that is like an insult to God like you think he made a mistake in what he made you. and that would be a big sin because God doesn't make mistakes it is also a sin for a a man to wear women clothes (A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this." Deuteronomy 22:5

The Bible says that in Christ, you are a NEW creation. What is God worth to you? Is He worth more than your own body?

Matthew 18:8-10
“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.

Jesus is not talking about literally dismembering yourself. You see, in that day, to have no hands , no feet or eyes made you instantly without a means of support. You would need to beg for the rest of your life. So your hands, feet and eyes were all VERY important to you. But Jesus said that if the most important things in your life--the things that are most attached to you emotionally--are keeping you from His Light and eternal life, offer it up as a sacrifice for the sake of the kingdom. Jesus knew what hell was going to be like, and what heaven is like. To risk hell for our temporary situation here on earth is not worth the inevitable consequence.

When the disciples told Jesus what they gave up to follow Him, Jesus replied...

Matthew 19:29
"Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life."

Jesus was not saying you will receive a hundredfold in heaven, this promise is for NOW. In other words, God will not leave you emotionally empty. But rather, what ever you give to Him as an offering, He will give back x100 now. I can attest to this with my own life, and many other believers as well. You cannot out give God. Trust me on that one.
