I took some kids to a birthday party. They had chocolate birthday cake, ice cream, and philly cheese steaks. All that temptation.... I couldn't resist.

It's not hard to consume 5000 calories in a day. a hostess cupcake ( just one) has almost 500 calories.

Honestly... If its a rare occurance, then I feel that you are fine. Just dont make it a frequent thing. Also be careful of the reasons you binged and the guilt you may have...having a healthy relationship with food is just as imporant as being in shape.

Actually I would drop my 1800 calories down to maybe 1600 for a few days. If you do that and increase your cardio by 10 minutes. You should correct any damage done. We all fall off the wagon at times so don't be hard on yourself. Just try not to repeat the process.

How the heck can you have 5000 calories in one day?
I mean, I guess you can but WOW! Haha.

You may've gained a pound, but you can work it off easily if bring your normal calorie intake down and exercise 5 times a week, 30-60 minutes per time.

Well I ate about that much when I went to a buffet with my mom a few months ago, the doctor weighed me a week later for a routine checkup and my weight was the same as the time before.

You probably gained about a 1.5 lbs. returning to your normal calories will help to not gain anymore and you might be able to take off half of the lb by cardio.
