Oh yea, totally. Because what I want to do with my time is get up early, on a Sunday, and hang out with virgins. Man, I wish I could do that.

Yes.

I wish I could detach myself from reality and have that warm fuzzy feeling. When I see a terrible traffic accident, or the latest earthquake victims, I could be happy in the knowledge that it was all for the good in the long run, and while those people may have had a horrifying, painful and slow death, it is but a speck on the infinite time they will spend in heaven.

But reality is reality, no matter what I think it is always there. I would rather accept it for what it is and make the best of a real world rather than live in a fantasy one.

Hello sweet Betteriage.. :)

I am not sure if the correct word is jealous..but I can say from prior experience, that when I was an Atheist, I saw in some Christians a peace, joy, love, kindness and gentleness that I so wanted in my life, but I did not want to have to become a Christian to get it..

I have known the Lord since 1978 and I came to the realization, that they only way to have what Christians have, is I had to become one.. :)

I pray All is Well.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

OK as a Christan I must say that makes no sense if that was even close to true would they really be atheists still?
the way I understand it if you are atheist you are settles with that decision, from their point of view

I still pray you will some day see the light,
(if I did not I would not be what I am either)

Not one bit, what would we have to be jealous of? All the Hipocracy in religion and the church? How many people want to ban Gay sex, yet want to molest little children, and or pay for prostitutes while having a family AKA Ted Haggard.

Not to mention in your precious Bible it took 40 Years later for the Gospels of Jesus to write about him? Why? Also the fact that there were no "WITNESSES" To Jesus's life/death and existance. Plenty of people wrote back then. Also the fact that it is a proven LIE that Jesus never ressurected, and was added in later Bibles.

Tell me, what acurate details are there to believe in the Bible? That actually happened?

I'm too happy not caring about sinning or stuff like that (I'm agnostic, though, I guesss it's close enough to atheist) Too much fun to be jealous. The only annoying thing is when everyone is asking you what holiday you celebrate during the holiday season.

There is surely lots of "watch" over the religion and spirituality forum by these 'unbelievers'.., AMAZING how obsessed with Christianity and God and even Jesus they are... HMMmmmm??
They don't believe in God or His Son or Heaven or Jesus or His Church..., but really have nothing to discuss if not AGAINST all the above. Bless you all. Read Romans 10:20..., if you dare!
Since you say it's not true, what's the worry?

Of course not. This is an arrogant presumption on theists' part.

Granted it sometimes gets a little lonely, and theists can make things downright uncomfortable. I can live with that.

What I'm likely to get testy about is the arrogance of some theists to presume to tell me what is going on in my own head.

Jealous of what? That Im not being medicated for delusional behavior? That I dont feel superior to everyone else? That imaginary beings dont talk to me and answer every little whim of a prayer that I have, despite people dying across the world from disease and illness and starvation? Jealous that I dont waste my Sundays giving away my money to a church and listening to a person speak and tell me how to live my life?

Naw, I aint jealous of nothing!

Amongst my friends, family and colleagues I can think of only 5 people who are religious, and they don't seem to have anything in their lives that I should be jealous of. They're not obviously happier than the rest of us, or less stressed, or anything like that. I think they get social benefits from their church activities but nothing that you wouldn't equally get from other, non-religious social groups. In fact, I reckon I get significantly more pleasure and relaxation and - dare I say it - spiritual fulfillment from my nudist club than they get from their churches.

I get to choose how much time and effort I put into my hobbies.

See, I don't have to set my alarm clock on Saturday nights, and I don't find my paycheck mysteriously shrinking by 10% just because of some old story.
