Medical Information? I read about a bone-eating bacteria that a woman contracted in Mali. Can you elaborate?

and inform me of what the name is for this bacteria and where I might be able to do more research on it? I have Google-searched, but my results were fruitless.
She contracted this en-route to Timbuktu.

I checked the Int'l Soc. for Infectious Diseases mailing list for any entries regarding bones and Mali. I couldn't find anything. If you have a little more information, I could probably turn something up.
