Nope. Not just because of his religion. But, he's never spoken too much about politics. Therefore, he isn't really keeping up on it. Nor has any ambition to.

IF HE was qualified-and the closer that one follows the bible and salvation in Jesus Yes
yet John T isnt qualified and also he is in a cult of scientology where they do mind control 'auditing'
this is what I would like that one for president to believe too=Isaiah (chapter:verse 9:6) "Unto us a child is born a son is given, and he will be the mighty God, the everlasting father, the wonderful counselor, and the prince of peace."
In 70 after the Messiah came our temple was destroyed some had believed in the Messiah (while others rejected him and made new religions leaving out the Messiah and the blood atonement-yet continued to call themselves under Judaism
The reason why the temple was alowed to be destroyed was that Messiah had come, as He fulfilled the needed blood sacrifice of Isaiah 52:13-53:12 He shall be exalted. He will be marred more than any man. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins.
prayin for you and the next president too, thanks

Maybe, sure. The problem is always knowing whether the image they project publicly is a sincere representation of their beliefs and philosophy of *government* (yes, it's still about that, not god) or simply an act to get elected. When California elected Schwartzenegger at least they could look at that huge pile of loot he'd amassed, largely by his own business acumen, and see that he knew business as well as his backers (republican party) claimed.
Personally, I have trouble finding the connection between faith and being a good executive (spare me the stats - a good executive may or may not have religion and I'd rather just skip the "oh he's a great evangelical" spiel and get to the meat of the matter - how can he run a business or a government?)

It depends on the celebrity. I wouldn't vote for Travolta because he tends to lean a little more to the liberal side than I like and because he dropped out of high school at 16 and as far as I know has never gotten any more education. I want a more educated candidate than that.
Religion wouldn't be a factor as long as they kept their religion out of their work.

Sure why not? At least they'd be entertaining.
Not voting for John Travolta though, it's bad enough we've got a fundie in office, I hate to think what would happen with a Scientologist in there. But anyone would be an improvement over the Shrub.

I would not vote for John Travolta. I would, (and will) vote for Rudy when the time comes. And no, his religion has nothing to do with my decision. It has more to do with how I've seen the way that he works. And his views on politics.
EDIT: Father K, I would also vote for him. He's done fantastic in California. The problem is in order to be president, you have to have been born in the US. Arnie wasn't. That automatically disqualifies him.

Depends on the celebrity. Travolta... well, some of Scientology's beliefs would make me *really* wary. I'd want to know if he was likely to jump up on a couch or something during a summit meeting. ;)

Maybe. But not John Travolta. Ronald Regan was a great president.

Depends on a lot of other factors.
Would I vote for a celebrity because of their celebrity? No.
If Travolta's politics were the identical to mine then I'd have no trouble voting for him.

In this country We have freedom of religion even though people are trying to take it away from us. I would not vote with out understanding where he come from on the issues. In most cases every one who is in office will not up hold his promises any way. How ever if it was between him and Hillary I would vote for him. Hillary is not some one I want to see in office because I know her opinion on almost every thing. She is against much of what I agree with.
