switchboard operator, if it's a switchboard

Receptionists usually also greet people in person and secretaries usually also do other office tasks.

Switch Board Operator is a bit outdated but it does have that retro feel. Receptionist is probably the best answer.

The general word is "receptionist". In my office, they have been given the somewhat pretentious title of "Information Assistants"
