WHERE IS THE FRENCH MILITARY HEAD? FRENCH AND MILITARY DON'T BELONG IN THE SAME SENTENCE.

Beret.
Despite what some of the posters think of the French, they bore the brunt of the fighting in WW1, read up on VERDUN, this more than likely explains why they had so little stomach for another war 20 years later, they also fought in Indochina, Algeria, In WW2 they had French men serving on both sides.
They have maintained a very good professional Army including the Foreign Legion even today.
