Wouldn't christans be pagans because they are the ones who took over!?

Question

Discovery channel last night had information about pagans and how christans took them over! wouldn't that make christand pagan..
How do we not know that the devil didn't right the bible to trick us
making us thing that the bible is good.. the more i see in the bible it's more depends and if you don't follow that your marked off as a sinner or evil or you side with the devil..
what happened to the Grey area not everything is black in white...

i know i can't ask for proof cuz we all are just taking that blind leap of faith to have faith in something or other..

and why is it that the first religion is so wrong (pagans) is it because they didn't stand up for them selfs when the christans took over? and why did the christans take over? could they just not get a long! seems more govermental to me!
what are your thoughts!

I think thats partly true. The Christian church has Christianized everything that was pagan origin. Like all the pagan holidays Christmas and Easter which says no where in the bible to celebrate is just the winter solstice and spring equinox It even forbids having a christmas tree in the bible. The church took over the Sunday worship day of the pagans which the pagans worshiped the Sun god on. Sunday-Sungod which makes since the real christian Sabbath is on Saturday but the Catholics were trying to get pagans to convert so the Catholics changed the day so the pagans would not feel they had to change their day of worship

All have sinned, not just pagans. none of us have followed what God says we should do, we have all been disobedient. Pagans had many gods for many different reasons. Christians worship the one true God, therefore by definition we could not be classified as pagans. there are many more differences, but this would be the main one. That is one of many reasons why pagans are wrong.

Believe me if Satan wrote a book it would be much easier to follow. I imagine all he would have to say is follow your own human instincts and you will be ok, it doesn't really matter any way, you have plenty of time, so do what ever your heart desires. If you have not noticed there are multitudes of people doing that very thing. willfully they are treading on the wide path that leads to destruction.

The very first Christians were Jews, Gods chosen people, they alone knew the truth, they waited for the Messiah, they knew when He would be born, where and who His parents would be. Yet when He came (as predicted 700 years before His birth) He was rejected. And that is just one of the hundreds of predictions made in the Bible hundreds of years before the event happened. Satan cannot predict the future, so there is no way he could have conceived the Bible. It is the Word of God.

There are many more prophecies still to come true, such as the persecution of Gods people, greater than any persecution before it. Have you read Acts and how the followers of Christ were treated? Which like Joseph said to his brothers you meant it for evil, but God meant it for good. the persecution of the Christians also lead to the spread of the truth, It is even how we got the name Christian. They saw how we acted even under the threat of torture and death. They knew the truth and could not denie it, because they knew our real reward is in heaven.
I disagree that pagan is the first religion, regardless if they stood up for themselves or not, the truth will win, in the end. every knee will bend and every mouth will confess that Jesus is Lord.

if one looks at the christian holidays and do a background check on them, they'll find that the "christian" holidays are pagan based. i was told that christians took over those holidays because of the "evil" that was behind them, and they had tooken them and made them "good"... problem is, especially with the "easter" holiday, they kept the pagan rituals..oh and christmas...
that's one of the reason i don't believe in the christian religion, why be a christian when a christian isn't really a christian?

Do you really believe everything that is said on the Discovery Channel?

This is the same network that pretty much promotes evolution and the Da Vinci code as truth....

Please....give me a break
