I live in Michigan and will be fishing in trout river beneath the dam.

Not familiar with your area, but best thing for ya' to do is check with locals and or a tackle shop near you. Good luck ;)...

I live in on lake superior. right now they are still in the rivers but they were done spawning a long time ago, and are on their way back down to the big pond. I imagine with the warmer water temperatures where you are they may be out in the lake, but if it is a deep river they could potentially stay in there all summer long. And yes, definately ask at the local tackle shop.

Oh, I almost forgot the best time is the crack of dawn!

If you want to know just about anything to do with river fishing, then this website is one of the best I have seen. Loads of good articles which you can read or listen to.

I seem to recall that they also offer a very good free report as well.It's well worth paying them a visit at http://www.fishinginformationguide.com . I would be interested in hearing what you think.

The best time to steal them is around noon when everyone is too busy eating to notice.
