it depends on the mission two different fighters, one is a dog fighter the other is an air superiority fighter, the f22 will more often handle long range engagements where the f35 jsf is more of an interceptor, in all honesty id take the f22

hey eyesinthedrk the F-35 is NOT an interceptor, that is what the F-22 and F-15 are for. The F-35 is a strike fighter intended mainly for BOMBING missions

f-22 dual engine is the way to go. Single engine, if you loose an eng, you're sol "**** out of luck" plus the raptor is a surperior aircraft.
