I'm takeing him to the doctor. The dots were on his back and has spread to his body. He has a cold and they don't bother him what is this. they are light looking. they look like bug bits but he hasn't been outside in a couple days

Sounds like an alergic reaction. Benadryl should clear it up in 1 day. But take him to the doctor to be sure.

A could be a skin allergy, due to a change in detergent, for example.

It could also be Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

I'm not a doctor but it could be mumps or just a rash from an allergic reaction.
