I agree that Catholics put too much emphasis on the Virgin Mary. While she was a wonderful woman who made an amazing sacrifice when she chose to be God's servant, when you get right down to it, she's still just a woman. I mean don't get me wrong, I really do think Mary was great, but I don't think any human is worthy of that kind of praise, save for Jesus Christ. However, Catholic nuns do not believe Mary is the Christ, the Anointed One. Some just seem to worship her as if she is (keyword: seem).

Consequently, this is one of the reasons I am going to join an Anglican order if I become a nun instead of converting to Catholicism. The only person you should place on as high a pedestal as some Catholics have placed Mary is Jesus Christ.

Dennis wrong because he does not know Catholicism..
There probably are some Nuns who are thinking that way because we do not know people's thoughts unless spoken.
Mary in Catholicism is Christ's mother. The events around her are reverend because of her role in Christ's life. We do not think of her as Christ.
As for the Saints...good role models arent they?

There are a lot of heresy's out there, but this one takes the cake, can a mother be her child?

If there are Nun's out there thinking this, they need some Bible 101

Probably not a lot. The assumption of Mary didn't begin until after the first millennium had come and it just states that she is Holy. A totally Catholic view of Mary and laughable.

Dennis you are right.

None? I'm not catholic so I don't really know but I'm pretty sure they they are married to Messiah Yashshua thus their vow of chastity. But then what do I know. I've not catholic and never have been. I do find it irritating that people attack these fine ladies for no apparent reason.

catholics make up their own stuff. they value mary more then they do Jesus. Jesus is the one they should be praying too, not mary or any so called saints.
ive been to catholic school, so no i am not wrong. i know what its all about and praying to anyone other than god/jesus is absolutely wrong.
