Navy- The marine corps taxi service, no comparrison. 60% of the Navy is overweight.

Air Force- Dont deploy and can fly from us and return and too smart to be a grunt. physical fitness test = excerside bike and push ups.

The Marine Corps is not 'better" than any other service. In general, the Marine Corps is more disciplined than the other services, but that does not mean better. The Marine Corps serves a different purpose then the other services, but that does not mean they are better. The U.S. Marines are called the President's Own partially because they can be deployed anywhere in the world only on the President's command, and they can be there in force in 48 hours.

No service is better than any other, we all play our part, we are all 1 team.

It isnt, all the services have sharply defined roles in our nations defense. Even the Coast Guard.

But, as one who works for the Marine Corps, I can tell you that they are the best at what they do. They have a reputation world wide that they are the most formidible foe.

No one wants to go toe to toe with them so we now have IED's.

The Marines have a rich history of victories against some of the steepest odds in any battle.

An Al-Kaida prisoner in Iraq asked in my presence if it were true that Marines had to kill a family member to become a Marine.

All the services are the best.

Hey Johny, even most of my marine buddies realize that the Ain't Ready to be a Marine Yet" crack is so stupid that most real marines won't use it.
But as I'm not one of the United States Misguided Children I guess I will just have to put up with the Want to be cracks and the bad spelling/ grammar typical of a couldn't hack it Paris Island drop out.

And Yes, I served in Iraq, Korea, Panama and the CONUS.

I don't know about better, but they do specialize in all different kinds of warfare, from land, to air, to sea. They specialize in all of it. Plus the marines are always the first to go into a conflict zone and the last to leave.

Because not everyone has what it takes to be a Marine. The Marines are very selective in who they pick and thier boot camp in very intense trying that not everybody can make it through. You need to have the disicpline and dedication to be a Marine!
