This guy in my college went to visit is family in China over 6 months ago. (He's never had a girlfriend before.) He was shy, but I could really tell he liked me by his actions. He always stared, smiled, looked me in the eye, was sincere, teased me, etc. (but often looked shy when coming by me).

I gave him my number for him to call after his trip since I've been wanting to know what China is like (since my grandparents are from there.) This seemed to break the ice when I gave him by number. He excitingly said he'd call to tell me all about it. He never did.

Can I assume he lost interest over time or met someone in China? or just too shy? or maybe never knew that I really liked him?

what if he lost your number in China somewhere?
What if, you wait and let him ask for your number.
Is he back from his trip?
Let him contact you dont chase him.
You put the ball in his court, now let him decide if he wants to play.

Soldier, love is war and your heart is the battlefield! “Ma’am, yes Ma’am and even my guided missiles aren’t hitting their targets!” you laugh. Are you talking about your tried and true pick-up-lines? “Yes, Ma’am, I think my radar must be broken!” you answer. Soldier, your radar is working just fine! Some women are just naturally turned off by a guy who has his “radar” on! If her radar tells her “this guys just wants in my pants” any chance you had just got intercepted by an ICBM! “That’s hilarious!” you burst. Take it down a notch or two soldier! Lose the pick-up-lines and just try making some old fashioned conversation. The change will be refreshing and you will come across as a nice guy instead of a pick up artist. Give her a chance to see whether or not you are someone worth getting to know and SHE will make a move if she is interested. “Really?” you ask. Really! “I suppose I don’t have nothing to lose so I’ll give that a try,” you grin. Very good, Cadet, carry on! Love, Drill Sergeant Leslie Life Poet and Rock Musician

You don't tell us whether he is back from his trip or if you have seen him since he got back. If he is still in China, there is no reason for him to incur the cost of phoning you from there. If he is back, and hasn't seen you, maybe he lost your phone number. It would be perfectly acceptable for you to get in touch with him and ask about his trip. Maybe ask him to meet you in a coffee shop.

No calling a beautiful girl on the phone can be very difficult. Epsecially for someone who is shy....Don't assume he has lost interest. Call him. If he is really shy it will be up to you to make him feel comfortable enough to over come it.

Men are so unpredictable. I think the only way to really know the answer is to ask him. Could be any of the reasons you mentioned. I am betting on either too shy or didn't know you were interested.

Maybe the guy is just shy - I think most asians are shy in approaching girls. To break the ice, sent him emails or text messages. He probably feels same way , maybe he also thinks you don't like him.

None of your assumptions really matter and there's no way you or any of us can read this guy's mind. He hasn't called you, although you've given him every opportunity. Forget him and look elsewhere.

he could have just lost your number.
don't jump to conclutions, but still - be weary of him when he comes back in case he did hook up with some girl back home.

I would wait till he returns and then let him find you.
Make him think that you werent just waiting for him to call.
