Well to start with. If you think someone might be a rapist, you should not talk to them at all. It's like when a friend of mine asked if there was a way to tell if weed is laced with LSD, if you are that worried don't do it.
But you can also create a second myspace account and talk to the guy, maybe tell them you are an underage little girl and you want sex, if he starts trying to hook up with a little girl it is not a good sign.

It's impossible to know anything for real about someone online. Some people are so good at fake profiles that they could convince someone they were the pope.
I have talked to a lot of people on-line, currently in a relationship with one that I met, but I always used the following guidelines:
1) If anything seems 'out of place', then it is and block them
2) If they never use your name, but always a pet name, block them
3) If they don't want to use myspace, but IM on another site, block them
4) If they want to meet quickly, block them
5) If they want to meet somewhere quite and dark, block them
Get my point here? If anything seems wrong, then move on. Don't give out your personal information until you have met them a few times, in public places, during the day.

Just stick to talking with your friends on myspace, because unless you know the person there is probably no way to tell for sure, unless the guy wants to meet you or what he says makes you uncomfortable.

I don't think you can know, unless they admit to raping someone. After all, no one is a rapist until they rape someone. Of course you should be careful if they say creepy things or seem to have major personality defects, but there's nothing you can do more than that. Don't reveal too much information about yourself to people you don't trust. Good night!

How old are you? It doesn't matter, just don't tell anyone online where you live or anything revealing your location. Also, everyone on myspace is a rapist.

lol, just make sure you meet them in a public place. also try to find people that both of you know and maybe ask that person about them. but, do keep in mind that guys who use myspace are pretty much only looking for sex anyway.

Tell them to hook up a web cam. I know not everyone has a web cam, but almost everybody nowadays has some form of digital camera. Tell them to take a picture doing something specific that will let you know that they JUST took the picture and that it is actually of them. Ask them to hold up today's paper and give a peace sign with their left hand, whatever. Something that will allow you to confirm that they have sent you an actually picture of them self.

You dont know and you cant tell.
If you meet ANYONE from the internet then make sure you take someone with you. Make sure you let people know where you are going and what time back.

You can't. I wouldn't recommend meeting up with anyone you meet on myspace, or giving out any personal details.

If you have any doubt in your head, stop talking to them. Go with your gut instinct, its usually right. There really is no way to find out for sure without meeting them, and by then, it could be too late.
