we've had this problem for a long time, like sense i was old enough to have anything valuable, money, ipods, you name it. everytime something goes missing i ask about it and no one has it.. predictable, so i buy myself another and it is gone.. the sister that does it moved out but the problem is still here, she has a house key so she comes when she wants, we changed the locks and she stole my house key and she still gets in. how do i stop her? we've talked to her and my father has talked to her and the problem still exists! hellppp!

if your parents have told her not to come to the house when they are not ho,e i would call there police and let them talk to her. it might scare her enough to stop taking things that are not hers. you can get a safe for your room and put everything in it that she might steal. get one with a combination on it these are harder to brake into.ask your dad about getting a alarm system on your house than when she gets in the pol9ice will be called and they will Handel it! good luck.

Have a talk with your sister. It's YOUR things, and she shouldn't have the right to just take it away from you. It's stupid of her to do this, so tell her that she will start giving you the money for it if she takes it away again!
Try to set up a video camera so that you can show it to your parents and then go to her house and take all your stuff back!
Also, have you considered taking back the key, so she CAN'T get into the house?
If your parents let you, get a lock for your door or a safe for your items. That way, your stuff will be safe away from her hands!

My daughter got tired of her money going missing and her brother suddenly finding money on the road outside. Even though he totally denies it, we know it is him.
We bought her a small safe to keep in her room and only she knows the combination.
Someone has to try to make your sister understand that stealing not only is financial or material, but is emotional too and will create a bridge between you due to lack of trust. It also is heartbreaking to know a family member has a problem and you have no idea how to help.

Change the locks once more and if she steals anything turn her in, you cant be the only people she is stealing from. Get a restraining order that keeps her off your property and if she is your house again it violates the restraining order have her arrested. The only other solution is kicking her *** but that may not stop her from doing it.

this my seem a bit exstream but get a video set up in the house and turn it on when you leave then when shew is in the home you can have proof that it was here and then you may have to threaten her with police involvement... if this doesn't stop tell her you have proof that it was her hopefully you can get her to stop with just that but if it doesn't stop you might have to get the police involved
i know it is harsh to see this but it might be all that you can do to fix the problem...
my sister stole my mail while i was away a couple of years ago and we ended up speaking to the police and she stopped.......
good luck.....

Put a lock on your door. Threaten to have her charged with stealing. Cut her fingers off if all else fails.

Keep your valuable lockup, Tell your father you believed your sister have a problem, and that they need to talk to her about this as soon as possible. Your father need to find out what is her problem. If its drugs, he can talk to her about getting help. If she say she doesn't have a problem, he should tell her she not welcome in the house, unless he their.

If your old enough move out. If not suggest therapy for being a kleptomaniac. If your fathers talking to her didn't work it's time to get professional help.
