Humans are advanced, this is true - compared to animals. But do you honestly think that human beings, being fallible as we are, are capable of understanding completely the concept of the supernatural?

For those of you who state that God should not be considered supernatural or that I should not compare the supernatural and God. Perhaps you need a defition:
su·per·nat·u·ral [soo-per-nach-er-uhl, -nach-ruhl]
–adjective 1. of, pertaining to, or being above or beyond what is natural; unexplainable by natural law or phenomena; abnormal.
2. of, pertaining to, characteristic of, or attributed to God or a deity.
3. of a superlative degree; preternatural: a missile of supernatural speed.
4. of, pertaining to, or attributed to ghosts, goblins, or other unearthly beings; eerie; occult.

Humans are always striving towards doing things which are considered 'impossible'. We've achieved other things that seemed completely beyond our reach: flight, deep water exploration, instantaneous global communication... Will we ever be able to understand god? Generally you want to say no because god is held to be so high and impressive; yet that was the answer to being able to fly or talk to someone on the other side of the planet instantaneously. Mostly it appears that we will gain our understanding of god by putting ourselves in the position of 'becoming god': genetic manipulation, birth choices, life and death decisions, planet wide influences on nature. The major thing that still is in our way: 'faith' or 'belief'. We are too skeptical, and until that is over come, we simply can't understand something supernatural because we aren't even sure we believe in it.

No. I don't think any mortal being - no matter how enlightened (like Budha, Mohammed, John the Baptist or whomever) - can know the mind of God. Even as revealed BY God, man is still fallible and inclined to misinterpretations. Look at the Bible and which books were voted into inclusion and which were left out. That was an ARBITRARY decision upon which hundreds of thousands of subsequent Christians have founded their beliefs.
I think the best we can hope is to interpret scripture as it speaks to our own heart in our own circumstances and hope God in His infinite mercy will forgive us our misunderstandings of His great design for humanity and give us credit for doing the best we could with our limited intellect.

The claim that we have in fallible humans is because some of them see science as a product of man as opposed to an observation of the natural world. Plus they generally speak as if it is a foregone conclusion that their god exists but fail to take into consideration that all they were taught about their god come from reports of man (prophets and scripture).

No, we cannot completely understand God. If so, wouldn't we be able to explain the reason for all the suffering in the world?
Also, refer to Romans 11:33-36
33Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34"Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?"
35"Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay him?"
36For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.

No, human minds are finite, God is infinite.
Isaiah 55 tells us that God's thoughts are higher than ours.
Corinthians tells us that we "look through a glass darkly now( dim view with glimpses of wonder)
Man cannot possibly have full understanding of the supernatural.

Of course I can't understand everything that God does, or even wants.
I would not use the word "supernatural" to mean God.
I know that God loves me, and takes really good care of me. I may come to understand more, when I go to heaven.

Hello and we can "as far as it is for our good to know" but beyond that it is a matter of trust, but in the holy bible we do see the face of God in the person of Jesus Christ, because if we have seen Jesus we have as He said seen The Father, He said on The Cross [which was our cross not His] "father forgive them they do not know what they are doing" understanding this is as much of God as we really need to understand right? God bless.

Absolutely not!
The catch there is the word 'completely'
Through the Bible we get a glimpse of God,
but absolutely no one in this world can fathom God.
However, if you take away 'completely' from the question,
I would say, I know enough of God to believe on His Word.
To live by His promise and continue to walk in His presence.
Day by day He reveals Himself to me and help me to discover His purpose for my life.

Science will tell you that the surface of knowledge has only been scratched. No one can fathom the hided knowledge of God. Christians strive every day to emulate that knowledge we have in the Word of God. Everyone falls short of total comprehension of Gods knowledge. Yet, we strive to know.

No I don't think we can....that's why He is God....He can show us his ways like He did to Moses but we can never completely understand Him....that's why the angels and the saints in heaven are crying " Holy, Holy, Holy" over and over and over, because every second they get a deeper revealation of how great God is, and "Holy" that's all they can say....
