My husband has a PS2 and for yrs we used the standard wired controllers.. .When got a dog the dog would get tangled in the cords and such. When we had kids it was nearly impossible to use the playstation. So, for his birthday I bought some generic wireless controllers.. They worked for some games and not as well on others... So, we bought the PS2 ones a few yrs. back and haven't had a problem since with the dog/kids or the controllers not working properly.... Good luck

i would. i have had one for a while and it still works fine, but make sure it is the dual shock 2 wireless or logitech, they last a lot longer than the generic ones. it is also a hell of a lot cheaper than buying the PS3. but that just my opinion. it works by putting batteries in the controller (depending on the model) and then you plug the sensor into the PS2 and wait a second for you to connect then your good to go!

I don't think it's worth it. Why do you want a wireless controller? what's wrong with the regular?
The wireless controllers are just more expensive, and you have to charge them constantly. Unless there is a good reason for you to buy a wireless controller don't buy it.

Electronic waves from the controller go to the receiver when you press a button.

Or so I think....

I love my Logitech wireless controllers. I can sit anywhere I want to in my room and I won't be tripping over anything.

It's the best thing since sliced bread.

Personally I use the ps3 wireless controller and find it much better in that mode than when I have it plugged in as it allows me to sit further away from the screen and have freedom of movement as I dont have a cable draped over me.
