I don't intend to do it on my own, but I'd like to know more about the liver

The great thing about a liver is that it will rejuvenate it's self, now I know that lots of people pop major pills and drink lots of alcohol and it takes lots and lots and lots of years for the liver to get damaged to where its unrepairable so in my opinion I would not worry or go talk to your doctor or usually a owner of a vitamin store knows all about stuff like that.. Good luck and sorry that you have been diagnosed with that, I'm sure that is scary, hope all goes well

The liver produces bile. The bile is used to assist the body to absorb nutrients before expulsion. If the liver was 'broke' and you were not producing bile you would lose the ability to absorb any nutrients from food or supplements. Probably get jaundice and a host of medical issues. I would recommend talking to your doctor before starting any treatment. You should also weigh the overall health you are in. If you are a heavy drinker your liver would already be compromised. If you are in good health you may be able to tolerate the treatment but only with the guidance of a physician. Good luck.

If you don't intend to do it on your own, those are good questions to ask the DOCTOR.
