What the tackiest thing you have ever seen??
My favorite is always the Xbox or video games.... now granted I know they get coupons later for it if no one buys it... so I just laugh about the big screen TV on people registries.... but what has been the worst thing you have seen?

Probably the lady who posted this week asking if it was ok to take donation for a Tubal Reversal Surgery! I'm still shocked by that one.

Other than that, theres the classic "We just want money, thanks." which is always tacky and then asking for unnecessary electronics. I think it's fun to register for traditional things like vacuums and Kitchen aid Stand Mixers. The whole point of a registry was to get the happy couple all the NECESSARY things for their new life and home together, I know some people dont need that kind of stuff, but that's what a registry was for in the first place.

Furniture and toys for the kid of the bride, from a previous marriage.

Registries originated so the couple could register their silver and china pattern and guests could buy a place setting as a gift. So it would all become a set, the same pattern. Stores expanded it to include anything and everything the store sells, in order to make more money.

My best friend registered for a bunch of cleaning stuff, like paper towels, windex, bathroom cleaner, laundry detergent, etc. I thought it was a bit... silly. At her shower tho, one of her Aunts bought it all up with some laundry basket she had registered and made this giant bride monster out of it, if you can picture that, which got a few laughs out of people. Not the most tasteful of gifts but it was good fun.

We had the big screen on ours lol! figured what the heck...didnt' get it tho, shocking right?! One couple had a registry at Wal-Mart and had registered for cleaning supplies like commet and stuff like that....thought that was a tad extreme! We also had some friends that got married that figured what the heck and put mountain bikes on their's and they actually got them!
