I know there's kits out there to buy, but I read many reviews and alot of people say they're a waste of money. I heard you can find everything you need online instead. Is there a site that anyone has found to be helpful? A list of things to change and possibly forms to assist?

I didn't get a kit, I had it changed with social security (you can print out the for you need on their website) then went to the DMV and got it there, then to my bank and then I did all my credit cards and student loans and that type of thing, which i did either online or called them. Your prolly gonna have to carry your marriage license around till you get it all taken care of, but nowhere I went took more than 10 minutes, Most of the places are used to it and its a common thing! It really wasn't hard, maybe a slight pain in the butt but no big deal, like I said, the kit is useless when thats all you really ahve to do!

It really is just better to do everything yourself. That way, there is no chance of identity theft or setting yourself up for spam. It really isn't a big deal to do each of the changes, since people do it all the time. Do as many as possible in person, and some you will be able to do on the phone.

I don't know for sure, but I feel like I saw an article on theknot.com about this, I want to say it had links too. That would be the first place I would look since they have EVERYTHING.

Curious to see what other people have to offer as well.

It's not really that big a deal. Go to Social Security first, then the DMV, then you can call almost anyone else. Don't forget to call your credit card companies. Other than that, you will just need to change it as you go along. Next time you go to your Dr.'s, show them your new ID. It's not anywhere near as hard as people act.

I saw these sights. Maybe they will help.
I know you will need to change your health info. Most people forget to change this.
