I have three boys that are 9, 7 and 3. They all enjoy it but my youngest gets bored after a while. He of course want to roll the ball himself and gets mad b/c it takes so long to make it to the pins. After rolling a few times, he gets bored and would rather run about than sit and wait his turn. Overall though, we all have a good time. We've gone lazer night bowling where the lanes, balls and pins all glow in the dark and they have a blast! We've also gone candle stick bowling which is a little easier for younger kids.
It depends on the personality of the child, but I'd give it a try!
Best wishes =]

If you go to a bowling alley that has bumper guard for the kids they will probably like it. Bowling is really kind of hard for little kids and a lot of time they get frustrated because they can't hit any pins. Plus, the balls are heavy. The 9 year old might like it, but the 3 year old is probably too young for bowling.

I have three children. They are 11, 7, & 3. They all love bowling. But I have also found out that they enjoy doing anything as long as their parents or parent are doing it with them. They enjoy doing things as a family. They should offer bumpers for the 3 yr old. This prevents the ball from going into the gutter. Enjoy.

It depends on the child, but if you do take them bowling find a bowling alley that offers "Bumper Bowling." This is where the alley will put blow-up blockers in the gutters so the ball will actually hit some of the pins. If kids are constantly throwing gutter balls, they will loose interest really fast. Have Fun!!!

I have been bowling since I was 4 years old :) I don't see why they would not like it. Pull out the bumpers, give them a ball and go to town.
