This is my friend's story. She lost 75 lbs in 7 months.

She followed the Weight Watcher's diet program and started an exercise routine. She now walks (at a rather fast pace) at least 3 miles per day and feels much better.

From the basic physics, you must burn more calories than you consume to loose weight. Remember calories are a unit of energy. This means reduce your calorie consumption and increase your calorie burn rate.

Diet and Exercise leads to a life style change - which is required.

I did Weight Watchers on-line and lost 79.5 pounds. I kept it off for 6 months, got pregnant gained 20lbs and when he was 6 weeks old had 6 lbs to lose to get back to goal weight. I followed the program exactly for the fist month that I started to lose the 79 and then I chose to not count points on the weekends. I ate Chinese food and whatever else I wanted on the weekends and still lost the weight. If during the week I craved something I would have a "normal" portion of it and count the points whether it was Doritos or a candy bar. I love that you can earn points for exercising and found the points system like a game and even though I don't follow the program (log my food and count points) I tend to keep a running tally in my head.

The freedom of being able to walk into a store and look for clothes that I like rather than clothes that won't accent the extra weight is such an amazing feeling.

The first month of any program is a challenge but by month 3 you realize the benefits and it makes this all worth it.

My tricks, 94% fat free popcorn, large bag=1 point, water, fruit2o and walking helped me stay on track during the week.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

I havent lost that much weight yet, but I'm part of a website called www.buddyslim.com. Its free to join, and you buddy up with people and swap tips. Theres other things like a weight tracker and a calorie counter on it. I joined four weeks ago and Ive lost 6 pounds but still have about 50 to go! I'd check it out though, it's really helping me, theres some really inspiring people there.
