When I first got on Y/A, I was interested in building up points so I would not look like a newbie. When I looked at answers, answers that came from people with a high number of points were more meaningful to me. Therefore, I was interested in having more than just a few points. I do not spend too much time on Y/A anymore. In fact, the only reason I am answering this question is at the encouragement of a 360 friend. When I do get on Y/A, I do look at the point level of the person asking the question. It does have meaning to me. Too many people on Y/A are not interested in serious dialogue. They jump in, spew a bunch of junk and jump out when they make a fool of themself or try to make a fool of somebody they are harassing. Then it appears they create a new Yahoo profile and do the same thing all over again. The point system gives us a clue as to who these people are. I think something needs to be done to restrict people who are "new" to Y/A to prevent them from asking or answering questions until they have shown themselves to be sincere about having serious dialogue. Perhaps Yahoo should not let "newbies" ask or answer more than one question a day. After 6 months, if they are still around, then they can participate as an actual adult. The point system is flawed. My own point level is an validation of this but until a mechanism is put in place that restricts people from creating new Yahoo profiles and jumping onto Y/A just to spread venom and discourse, the point system has some value. At least to me it does.

Now, hold on,how would you decide who gets the Good Answer? I mean, like they can be so many good answer, rite? Then, how are you going to select one?
And anyway, it is based on a point system not a money system. So, stop talking about money.
But anyway,they are good.
