OK, so the guy who I like now likes me... But just as a friend or a bit more, I don't get :( We meet up frequently and he smiles and playfully touches me, but I found out that he was still suffering from a hearbreak (oh, dear) Last week we were at the wedding, and he came up to me, took my hand, and held it close to his chest, while looking into my eyes and saying compliments... I was so taken aback that I nearly pulled my arm out, though I didn't want it.. Oh, i totally screwed up :) Then again the signs of interest are there, but he just NEVER takes it further... Why does he do it? Am I wasting my time?

Seems like you're both probably thinking about this issue and are both holding back for some reason. It is a lot better to be up front and open about it. dont come on too strong just say that one time you made eye contact when he complimented you, it felt something. Just ask that person on a date. You havent got anything to lose. Because well touchy feely people sometimes genuinely are being friendly and are affectionate from square one.

Still dealing with a heartbreak and he came up to you during the wedding and took your hand. While he held your hand to his chest he complimented you while looking into your eyes(generally a sign of sincerity unless he's a really smooth liar). You have questions about whether he likes you or not?! YES! Whether he's normally shy or not he most likely is now because of the whole heartbreak issue so just make the next move and be his chick in shining armor(also known as the chick who actually had the balls(forgive the term) to make the first move and drag him out of his current issues. Make the choice for him and your bound to find out the absolute truth.

Good luck and one question.
Why is it always the guy's job to do all the freaking chasing eh?

Youre not waisting your time. If he is suffering from a heartbreak (hey, there are sensitive men out there) then he may be a bit worried to get too attached to another girl and be heartbroken again. Maybe hes actually just playing it cool and taking things slow.

Women complain alot about how guys move too fast and then when they want to take it slow we complain about that 2. I think you need to let him take his time. Be flirty with him.... show him that you have interest (do not throw yourself or try to move the relationship along) theres nothing worst than a pushy girl.

Let me get this straight!.He took you to his X's wedding ?????!.Hmmmmm ?.CONFRONT HIM and say you will not be a pawn in his little game of "I'm so over you, look what I've got now!.".If he is really interested in you he should pull his finger out and start showing it (metaphorically speaking of course).LOL!.You should never let yourself be a "TROPHY" or a photo in someones wallet because you have feelings for this person!.Stand up and be counted as a human being.CHEERS!.

Yes. Because he either doesnt know how to or if he wants to close the deal with you or he is playing you with sob stories and compliments. He may be just trying to toy with your feelings and has no intention of anything more. Stop wasting your time

It must have taken a lot of courage for him to take your hand after he's been heart broken not so long ago...he's probably still a bit weary of women. Don't make him do all the work, if you want it to work you gotta go for it girl!

You are not wasting your time. You say he was recently hurt, imagine if that was you, just recently hurt. Take your time, love does not just fall from the sky one day. When he makes advances, advance back. He is obviously interested, he is testing you. Show him that you are sincere and that you are willing to wait as long as needed.

Sounds like he knows you like him and are a little reticent and he's using that to boost his own ego. You can only find out by confronting it, but you WILL be disappointed, as if he is brave enough to flatter you so openly as he has, he would be equally brave enough to take it further IF that was what he wanted.

Hit him. The element of suprise is always good to have on your side, especially when you want to know how someone feels. Hitting him would put him completely off gaurd.
