yes you can!
first of all..fill out a FAFSA...its required for any level of college..im guessing you want to start out at a community college, ause they are much cheaper (for under grads)....the fafsa will reduce or even pay for u (the whole cost)!
secondly, talk to the college counselor..whether it be a community college/university counselor..they ALL have financial AID packets...cause remember they want to get money...so they will try to get you to their college
thirdly, apply for scholarships,grants...these mean that u wont have to spen a dime on things...and take loans (but remember not to lean on that too much..cause they add up (interests wise) and that might be a burden later on)..so focuse more on grants etc.
college ,in today's world, is a reality for almost all walks of life..."im too poor" is no more the execuse that ppl can use....plus, if u truly want to succeeed going to college is the best option u have, and i commend u that you are thinking about it!
wish u the best of luck!

Your reluctance to go into the military is understandable. Military service requires great dedication, so if you aren't comfortable with this it is probably best for you not to go this route. Community colleges are often inexpensive compared to traditional four-year universities, and their costs can often be covered through outside scholarships. So one thing to consider would be to attend a community college and apply for a lot of scholarships, which aren't all necessarily based on academics. There are also some scholarships that are based on demonstrated financial need, so you may be more likely to get those.

Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out the application. This will let the school know if you qualify for any grants, etc. The school will use this information to see if you qualify for any scholarships. Then, if you don't get enough in scholarships and grants, go to the financial aid office at the school and ask to fill out applications for student loans. You don't have to have credit to get student loans and student loans don't have to be paid back until 6 months after you are no longer a full time student. They usually have reasonable interest rates & payments too.

I think the real question here is "Do I want to be able to afford college?"
If the answer is yes, then you will find a way. If you want it enough. I know how you feel. My bf is just about to start acting school which is going to cost around £7,000 for 2 years. He wants it so much and even though we cant really afford it, I know that he will do everything in his power to make it work.
Hope that helped.
