Hell no, he isn't going to leave her! Although I know he prolly cares for her especially since they've been dealing with each other for 5yrs if he really wanted to leave her he would leave, her health is just an excuse because nobody is saying that they can't remain friends so he can always still stay in touch with her and check up on her, and as for how she will take it if he doesn't feel the way he should about her & his relationship (which is evident by they way he claims to feel about you) their relationship is already over, only she doesn't know it yet and he is just in denial. My advice is stay as far away as possible from this guy or you will find yourself in her shoes one day.

He might leave her, but it seems that he's with her for sympathy.

I had a similar situation, except for MY coworker told me that if he wasn't with his girlfriend (of 3 years), then he'd go out with me. I only found out that he had a girlfriend very recently and I got quite distraught by it. Unfortunately, I was the one that blurted out my feelings and now he acts differently around me. He pretty much led me on.

But in any case, just continue being his friend and see where it goes. Be patient.

He's playing you.

If he really likes and wants to date you he will break it off with the other girl, health issues or not.

IMO if someone is in the same department as you they are not on the "dating radar".

He might, he should stay with her because of her problem. If he really likes you and says he does then that shouldn't stop him. He shouldn't stay with a person if he isn't really that into her.

defenetly not. thats the lamest excuse he could make about the health of her gf. just find somebody else out of work.

not unless he can break it to her in a gentle way, or they go though another patch again.
