It took as long as any other normal human conception and birth did. You do know the "crucified savior born of a virgin" legend attached to Jesus after his death was plagarized from older myths, don't you?

Yes, Mary's pregnancy was a normal 9 months. Jesus was conceived about December 25 (not born) and was born about the last week in September. How do I know that?
Because, as you recall, Elizabeth, John the Baptist's mother was 6 months along when Mary went to visit her cousin to tell her that she was pregnant. Elizabeth got pregnant about the last week in June.(6 months before Dec. 25). How do I know? Because the Bible tells me so.
John's father was a preist and had the Temple service in the course of Abia which is June 12 thru June 19. He lived 20 to 30 miles from the Temple so he headed home about June 20, arriving home the 22nd. As the story goes, he was unable to speak because he did not believe the angel's message so I'm sure he had to write everything to Elizabeth. Anyway, I suspect that she got pregnant about the 24th of June.
So... why do Christians celebrate Jesus' birthday in December? Traditions of men... not Biblical fact. Jesus told his followers to remember His death, not His birth. Christians said the heck with that! Death is no fun, let's give each other gifts and have some fun. This is called churchanity and is far different than Christianity.
Broad (popular) is the way that leads to destruction and many go that way. Narrow is the Way that leads to life and few are even looking for it, much less finding it. So does that mean God is angry with people because they don't learn the truth?
I don't think so,anymore than a human father would be upset with a child that did not know any better. Eventually, people hear the truth, some believe it, some don't.

Mr X., I'd imagine it did. Luke talked about that virgin birth. There's a bunch of ancient people I think somewhere in Turkey or that area that claim she was impregnated by a Roman legionnaire. It's an ancient legend with these people. Not some new theory. Bible scholars have known about this story for centuries. The soldier's name was Pantheras (or something like that). In the 1900's they found an ancient soldier's gravestone in Assisi Italy, with that name on it. It was a grave of an old legionnaire. From the stone, his unit and everything could have easily put him in ancient Galilee in the early A.D. period. His unit was stationed in that area. Jesus might have been half Italian and half Jewish? Don't know what to think?

Nothing in the Gospels talks about the duration of Mary's pregnancy, unusual or not. Since none of the authors describes Mary's pregnancy at all except for the beginning and end, it was not considered important by all four authors..

If she says she is pregnant and he or she says she is a virgin, she is mendacity approximately certainly one of those issues. Jesus isn't coming back interior an analogous way He got here to the international the 1st time. he will come through fact the conquering King of kings. there will be no question that he's God.

Yes, it was a normal pregnancy. Mother May was a normal human being and their is no account that the baby Jesus was delivered prematurely.
Peace and blessing!

Sure.
It's the conception and the birth that were different. The Virgin Mary remained a virgin, 'til her death.
